Congressman Evans’ “Federal Resources & Job Fair” coming up on June 8 

Congressman Dwight Evans is organizing his fifth annual “Federal Resources & Job Fair” on Saturday, June 8 from 10:00AM until 1:00PM. The Job Fair will be held in South Philly, at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19, 1301 S. Columbus Blvd., Philadelphia, 19147.

Employers participating in the job-fair portion of the event will include: SEPTA, UPS, Philadelphia International Airport, IRS, Sheet Metal Workers Local 19, Philadelphia Housing Authority, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Pennsylvania Army National Guard, Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs/Delaware Valley Veterans' Home, and InspiriTec, Inc.

Congressman Evans is also bringing in representatives from Medicaid and Medicare to answer constituent questions about healthcare and other benefits. 

Federal, state and local agencies at the fair to provide information on available resources will include: CMS; U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; U.S. Commercial Service, International Trade Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce; Pennsylvania Air National Guard; Pennsylvania State Police; Philadelphia Technician Training Institute; Veterans Multi-Service Center; and Heroic Gardens.
